The GM exhibit, at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, is almost finished. It will probably be another week or two before it is completed. At that time, preparations for the grand opening will begin. More information to come.

WAYS AND MEANS: CLARA HUNT

Crab Feast Scheduled for October 23, 2008 cost $5.00.

Christmas Party at Rosedale Gardens is scheduled for December 13, 2008 cost $30.00.

Entertainment Books are on sale for $20.00. (If you previously purchased a book you can see Clara Hunt for a price adjustment.)

The club supports the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk. The walk will be held in October. If you are interested in participating see Darlene Dail. Forget-Me-Not flowers are still on sale for $1.00 the proceeds support the Alzheimer’s Association.

Jack Summers and Jim Smedley participated in a teleconference on Tuesday about GM’s future. They discussed promoting new products such as the Volt and Traverse. Another topic of discussion included the excellent quality reports issued by JD Power. GM is also fighting back against negative newspaper reports as seen in the Wall Street Journal. Traverse Drive & Rider Program-

All primary and alternate drivers participating in the Travers Drive & Ride program must attend one of the two meeting to be held on October 9 & 10. The meeting will be held at Fed Ex field. See Jack Summers for additional info.

Following adjourned meeting:

A video presentation was given by Julie Monahan (GM representative), Tanya Gibson, and Dave Lucarelli (extend health representative). The video provided information regarding the changes to our health plan as of January 1, 2009. We will be receiving a welcome kit in late October or early November providing us with further information. Everyone will have time to customize their individual plan. Many thanks to our presenters for their assistance.
